GelPro

by Mommy on September 8, 2009

I am always on the look out to get more products on my blog that dads will like.  When I came across this next website, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to have my husband test it out.  The GelPro mat has been an excellent addition to our kitchen and my husband just loves the squishy mat under his toes while he does the dishes.

The GelPro mat has a gel core that is shock absorbing and allows for hours on your feet without the pain. The GelPro mat allows for proper ergonomics and has been proven to help with people who have foot pain, back pain and diseases such as diabetes that make standing on a hard floor for long periods of time very painful.  The GelPro mat can be put on any surface and will make it soft and comfortable to walk and work on.

For review, GelPro sent us a basketweave mat in the Truffle colour. The mat is quite heavy, which makes it stay in place.  I have yet to have to readjust the mat after a month of use.  My previous mat (that even had a rubber bottom) had  to be readjusted at least 2 times a day.  The mat looks like it has been woven with long strips of leather, but it is just all one piece.  The dark colour looks marvelous in our kitchen, but it comes in 5 other colours if Truffle doesn’t work for you.

Everyone that comes over and steps on the GelPro mat makes mention of it. The mat feels like something that should be in a upper class restaurant kitchen for the chefs, not something in my kitchen.  My husband, who spends most of the time doing the dishes really appreciates the soft feeling beneath his tootsies while he is busily doing dishes or cleaning up the kitchen.

This is an excellent product for anyone that likes to spend time in the kitchen or has back or foot pain.  It would make a very thoughtful gift.

GelPro also makes seat cushions, and place mats to match the mats.

Ref.GelPad, the edges of the Gelpad are rolling up causing a safety hazard for my wife with her slippers on. Also the mat travels, will not stay in place. I am constantly moving it away from the cabinets. Yes it is good for the back as my wife does have a back problem. But when she trips ivermectin the edge of the Gelpad she pulls her back out. What can I do to keep the mat from moving and the edges from rolling up?
