Bored Inc. – Tote & T-shirt or onesie – CLOSED

by tara on September 30, 2009

Sometimes its a blessing and sometimes its a curse, I have a unique sense of humor. I often laugh during awkward moments and I’ve been known to enjoy some naughty humor. I was laughing out loud at some of the products  available at Bored Inc., a mother daughter combo who began their website based company out of  Los Angeles over a decade ago. Inspired by a love of Japanese Art, the duo has an original collection of  apparel , accessories, decor and also licenses their original designs.  In the apparel collection, Bored Inc has men’s, women’s and baby/toddler designs. The apparel collection features belts, totes and are introducing a line of boxers and undies. The decor has a great collection of decals, plush and limited edition prints.

I received for review a black  ladies t-shirt in large with the slogan “Life is Sweet” and and a 6 month blue onesie from the Herbert and Bella collection. It features a cute plaid little whale on it for my son. He is 7 months old and the 6 month onesie fit him very well, even fits over his cloth diapers.

The collection of t-shirts from Bored Inc are 100% thin cotton and fit a bit longer than the average t-shirt. I love when a t-shirt is a bit longer, post baby not much fits, I appreciate a snug t-shirt that keeps all my bits in place and covers all my extra bits. I’ve washed the items from Bored Inc several times and thus far the decals have stayed in tact and there has been no shrinkage.  I received a large and it fits snugly, there isn’t much extra room but it does fit me nicely with enough give across the bust where I need a bit more room.

The Apparel and the Decor  from Bored Inc has many items featuring seven original  humorous brands; Stinky Poo, Save Our Sushi, Angry Flowers, Yummies, My Weiner, Tokyo Bunnie,  and Herbert and Bella.

I particularly like the collection featuring “My Weiner”, a line of very funny, somewhat raunchy t-shirts with slogans such as ” Play with your weiner”  which features a hot dog and a hamburger shipping rope.

boredI like this for two reasons; it appeals to my sense of humor and oddly enough, I think I like it because it reminds me of my childhood. Almost every weekend we went to the drive in theatre and at intermission time, there was an animated movie that was played for 10 minutes. The movie features all the concession food (popcorn, fudgesticks, soda) in a mini movie and one part has the hot dog jumping around in a circle on a pedastol and finally after much coaxing jumps in the bun. It is so cute, those of you who don’t remember this, some of the movie can be seen in a clip from the classic John Travolta movie “Grease”.

Funny, cute and with lots of variety; Bored Inc has something for everyone. To get your funny on, visit the Bored Inc. website.
