See Me Smile – Hook ‘n’ Stroll & BearView Mirror – CLOSED

Moms are leading busier lifestyles than ever. As well as working inside the home, many of us work part or full time, we are always on the go; dry cleaning needs to be picked up, parcels mailed, books returned…and the list goes on. Because of this busy life style we look for products which helps the day go a bit smoother and luckily for us busy moms, there exists a niche market for making our lives easier.

Two of those very handy items are made by a company called “See Me Smile Products”. I was given two of their products to review; the Hook ‘n’ Stroll and the BearView Infant Mirror.

The Hook ‘n’ Stroll comes in a package of two and is designed to be used when traveling with a stroller. The Hook ‘n’ Stroll is a 360 degree swiveling plastic hook that is attached to the stroller by a looping piece of Velcro to be used to carry your purse, diaper bag, shopping bags etc.

I had the opportunity to use the Hook ‘n’ Stroll a few times while I was out and about last week. I was out for a picnic with my friend and between us we had 4 kids so a free arm is a bit of an oxymoron. We had a canvas bag with our picnic lunch in it; 6 juice boxes, a box of granola bars,several bananas, 2 chocolate bars, two bottles of water, some raisins and the Hook ‘n’ Stroll made our trek so much easier. We were able to reach in and get something without the bother of stopping the stroller or digging around the bottom of the stroller.

My second test of the Hook n Stroll happened a few days later when I was coming home from our local grocery store which is approximately 15 minutes from our place.  Although the See me Smile website states Hook ‘n’ Stroll units together will hold 11 lbs, I decided put mine to the test. I put a 4 litre jug of milk, a 2 litre of soda as well as a can of apple juice (almost 15 lbs) in a canvas bag and put it on the Hook ‘n’ Stroll and all was well. My son weighs more than what was in the canvas bag as well we have a really sturdy stroller so there was some counter weight. As with any product, please do not use the Hook ‘n’ Stroll unit with a child who is unattended. Convenience is great but safety is the best practice.

I love the convenience of being able use the Hook ‘n’ Stroll, I use it every time we have our stroller out (does mommy shop too much?)

The BearView Mirror is a very cute plush with many uses; to help you keep an eye on your infant in a rear-facing car seat while driving, a mirror for baby in a front facing seat as well as can be used as a mirror in the crib. With five adorable animals to choose from, The BearView Mirror is 14” tall and has a 7’ convex plastic mirror. It is kept in place with a bean bag anchoring system. The website gives you written instructions on how to install the mirror with or without a headrest. As an added bonus there is a link to youtube where there are several instructional videos as well. It takes a few minutes to install the mirror and each unit comes with a string and safety pin for additional support. The BearView gives parents piece of mind while driving, its so nice to be able to see them at all times.

As cute as they are, the BearView is not a toy, as with any product, follow the instruction manual carefully.
