Our Side of the Mountain – Item of your choice – CLOSED

Our Side of the Mountain is the creation of Debbie, in Upstate New York.  Debbie has always enjoyed crafts, crochet, basket making, and sewing, and after her son was born, she took her talents to making children’s clothing.  She makes stylish, modern clothing and accessories for babies, toddlers, children and women.

oursideI love having a full matching outfit for DD.  It makes my life just a little bit easier when I don’t have to think about what pants she is going to have to wear with that shirt.  Our Side of the Mountain makes full matching outfits, with pants, and a t-shirt or pants and a onesie.  For review, Our Side of the Mountain sent DD a matching onesie and pants set featuring Robert Kaufman’s the "On a Whim" fabric.

Debbie knows that the onesies run small, so she made DD’s onesie is a size 18 months.  I think it was a great decision because the onesie is just a little bit too big, but she will be able to get the maximum amount of wear out of it.  The onesie has a nice big applique circle on it, with a little bird.  What I like about the applique is that it will never pull or start to flake off like silk screening will.  The stitching that is used is not your normal straight stitch, it is a decorative vine-like stitch, and it is around the applique, along the neck line of the onesie and the pants.  It really looks sweet.  The pants are made from scratch, and are in a size 12 months – they fit DD just great right now.  The have a nice large bum area – great for diapers, and the legs are fairly wide.  The elastic band is very stretchy, so it is easy to get the pants on and off for diaper changes.  The pants, which are green, also have the same "On a Whim" fabric along the bottom of the pants, and there is also a little pocket on the bum – this is just too cute.

The outfit by Our Side of the Mountain is nice and lightweight and well made – with love.  I love having DD in this outfit, because it’s bright and cheery, and I know she matches perfectly.

Our Side of the Mountain also makes bibs, cloth block, and baby gift packs.  You can get a full gift set all matching in one types of material.  Although you may not see what you want on The Our Side of the Mountain Etsy store, make sure to Convo Debbie, and she will make an outfit or gift set just the way you want it.

  1. I’m pretty good at matching my clothes for work, but when it comes to casual stuff I often throw on whatever is handy and end up looking like its laundry day!

  2. I am good at matching others outfits but never my own. I think i play it too safe when it comes to my own wardrobe.

  3. My biggest struggle with matching outfits is that too often, I buy separates because they’re so much fun and on sale and then when I go through them to put them in one of my kids’ closets (my son’s in particular), I realize that he has nothing that goes with it so then I have to go buy things that coordinate.

  4. ooooh i really like the Deluxe Music and Stripes Baby Gift Set

  5. Well I think that I’m good at matching but maybe it’s just because I’m better than my husband, or my father (he’s color-blind)

  6. I sold clothing in a major retail store for 5 years. I do believe I am pretty good at coordinating clothing. Thanks, Cindi

  7. Are you good at matching outfits?

I’d like to think so. I also have my sons wear matching outfits…I get asked all the time if they’re twins but they’re a year and a half apart.

  10. I like to think I am good at matching outfits. Although, now that my daughters are teens, sometimes they put on a outfit and I say “that doesn’t really go together” and they tell me it does. So I don’t know…

  11. The trick or treat bags are neat. I think I would pick the Reversible Princess Castle Trick or Treat Tote Bag.

  12. I think I am great at matching outfits. Sometimes I feel like I have to dress my husband as well. 🙂

  13. I would really like the Reversible Black Cat Trick or Treat Tote Bag — thanks for the great giveaway:)

  14. I would say I do a very good job at matching outfits especially since I usually wear black pants then everything goes:) I usually wear brighter tops because it is easy to do so with dark pants:)

  15. I used to be horrible at matching outfits, and have grown to be just so-so. Fortunately, my hubby’s mother is a wizard of children’s clothes, and she sends huge amounts of beautiful matching outfits for his birthday and Christmas each year. Truth be told, I don’t have to buy a whole lot of kid’s clothes at all!

  16. I am honestly and regretfully no good at putting outfits together…as a result my little guy has a lot of things that kind of all just match…poor little guy.

  17. Reversible Honey Bee Trick or Treat Tote Bag is just adorable for the costume i am makeing for my little one

  18. i am not that good at getting matching outfits. now my 7 yr old on the other hand can match from head to toe… very well

  19. I am not the best at matching things unless they’re pretty plain. I could definitely use a personal shopper. LOL 🙂

  20. I’m decent at matching outfits. Every accessory is certainly carefully chosen and I like things that at least seem complementary to the style and colors of the ensemble.

  22. I am pretty ok/good at matching outfits. My go-to is often denim for both toddler and baby. Most things go with denim.

  23. I believe I am good at matching outfits. Sometimes though outfits are more attractive if they don’t exactly match but are in the same tone or have a smidgon of a colour to use. For example, you might have a green stripe that would go good with a pair of green pants.

  24. The Deluxe Moda Green and Blue Baby Gift Set is adorable, with the fish and bubbles, made me smile with joy….and warmed my heart!

Fish are sweet, and this gave me the idea to make a fish mobile to match the outfit! Thanks for the giveaway, and the inspiration too!

  25. I think that I am pretty good at matching outfits. I think it looks cute when all three of my children coordinate without exactly matching.

  26. I would actually love the DESTASH Bag of Cotton Fabric…I also like the cow onesie and baby gift set but my little guy is not 0-3 months any more!

  35. I’m not good at matching outfits. If I buy one for my son, one piece of the set will inevitably get stained and then I need to find something else to go with the remaining piece. I find that frustrating. I usually just buy mix and match.

  37. My husband thinks I am crazy because outfits have to match. If he dresses the boys and they are mismatched I make them change. I know it’s horrible 🙂

  38. I always try to match my little guys’ outfits. If DH dresses them, I’m usually the last out the door trying to get a different shirt for one or the other!

  39. I think I’m pretty good at matching outfits but I tend to buy things only in outfits now because I hate having a random shirt or pants that don’t match anything just because they are a good price or I had to have them.

  40. I’d like to think I am good at matching outfits for work, but when I am home, I don’t care much. For my son I am more particular and if my husband dresses him funny, I will change him!

  41. I’m good at matching outfits as long as I bought them together as a set. I’m not so good at mix-and-match.

  42. When I have enough of the baby’s laundry clean to mix it up, I’m good at matching up outfits. But the clean laundry thing is a challenge for me.

  43. Oh, the Cow Says Moo Farm set is just adorable. I also love the guitar set, but I’m expecting a nephew (so no pink, unfortunately!).

  45. I must have outfits that match exactly or it irks me! I love when the outfit matches perfectly like this!

  46. I’m terrible at matching outfits if they don’t come together – ‘fortunately’ my sisters have loads of opinions.

  47. The Not Too Girly Purple Gift Set is great. I think it would make a nice shower gift, especially if you don’t know the gender!!

  48. THE Deluxe Music and Stripes Baby Gift Set IS DARLING BUT SO ARE A HALF DOZEN MORE! thank you for the giveaway…

  51. I loved the Deluxe Cow Says Moo Farm Baby Gift Set! I’m due with a little boy in October and would this!

  52. I am very good at matching clothes- I just wish I could say the same about my husband. Sometimes I have to change our daughter after he dresses her because he put her in something that totally doesn’t match. It also doesn’t help that he’s colorblind!

  55. I’m okay at matching outfits, but usually just match the same things with each other every time. I always forget that there could be other things that match just as well.
