Our Side of the Mountain is the creation of Debbie, in Upstate New York. Debbie has always enjoyed crafts, crochet, basket making, and sewing, and after her son was born, she took her talents to making children’s clothing. She makes stylish, modern clothing and accessories for babies, toddlers, children and women.
I love having a full matching outfit for DD. It makes my life just a little bit easier when I don’t have to think about what pants she is going to have to wear with that shirt. Our Side of the Mountain makes full matching outfits, with pants, and a t-shirt or pants and a onesie. For review, Our Side of the Mountain sent DD a matching onesie and pants set featuring Robert Kaufman’s the "On a Whim" fabric.
Debbie knows that the onesies run small, so she made DD’s onesie is a size 18 months. I think it was a great decision because the onesie is just a little bit too big, but she will be able to get the maximum amount of wear out of it. The onesie has a nice big applique circle on it, with a little bird. What I like about the applique is that it will never pull or start to flake off like silk screening will. The stitching that is used is not your normal straight stitch, it is a decorative vine-like stitch, and it is around the applique, along the neck line of the onesie and the pants. It really looks sweet. The pants are made from scratch, and are in a size 12 months – they fit DD just great right now. The have a nice large bum area – great for diapers, and the legs are fairly wide. The elastic band is very stretchy, so it is easy to get the pants on and off for diaper changes. The pants, which are green, also have the same "On a Whim" fabric along the bottom of the pants, and there is also a little pocket on the bum – this is just too cute.
The outfit by Our Side of the Mountain is nice and lightweight and well made – with love. I love having DD in this outfit, because it’s bright and cheery, and I know she matches perfectly.

My biggest struggle with matching outfits is that too often, I buy separates because they’re so much fun and on sale and then when I go through them to put them in one of my kids’ closets (my son’s in particular), I realize that he has nothing that goes with it so then I have to go buy things that coordinate.

I used to be horrible at matching outfits, and have grown to be just so-so. Fortunately, my hubby’s mother is a wizard of children’s clothes, and she sends huge amounts of beautiful matching outfits for his birthday and Christmas each year. I am very good at matching clothes- I just wish I could say the same about my husband. Sometimes I have to change our daughter after he dresses her because he put her in something that totally doesn’t match. It also doesn’t help that he’s colorblind!
