Nursery envy, we all have it, thanks to Facebook we are able to take an intimate look into the lives of other people. The one thing always gets me is the beautiful nurseries…you know the kind, they all the matching furniture, the monogrammed blankets, cutsie artwork on the walls, little stuffies that somehow co-ordinate. It makes me wonder, where do they get all that awesome gear and who has the time to co-ordinate all the colors? Eureka! I may have found the answer.

Did you have your nursery picked out way before you were even pregnant? I did! I knew that I wanted a teddy bear theme after my elderly grandfather painted me a beautiful oil painting of a teddy bear. I knew that it would be put into my baby’s room one day.

My baby nursery was set up early for my first child. But for my second…I figured less was more. She used a cradle in my bedroom until recently. We purchased her crib and bedding when she was four months!

No, I didn’t have the nursery all planned out before either of our babies were conceived. Even when I was pregnant with them, my focus was elsewhere (reading as many books as I could on how to have a healthy pregnancy, how to care for them, on breastfeeding, baby equipment, etc).

Well, the most fun nursery we ever did was for my daughter’s triplets. She was on bedrest so my husband and I got to help with most of it. We used a sweet vintage theme and it was really about as perfect as they come!
Love the ladybug and koala outfits – so cute and they would make fabulous halloween costumes even!

We didn’t have it picked out before we were pregnant, but we’d bought our first house just after my husband got into the country and before we realized we were pregnant. It had a room that had been freshly painted yellow so we’d said “This will be the office for now and then it will make a cute nursery when we have a baby”. It wasn’t an office for long. Once we found out I was pregnant, we decided we wanted to do the room up in giraffes/jungle theme but of course, it was hard to find at that time. A few months after we had the baby though, it was everywhere!

I like their organic cleaning products. The all purpose cleaner and bathroom cleaner are especially appealing because I can’t stand the fumes of traditional products.

I did not have a nursery picked out. We were living with my mom and Actually ended up moving the day I came home from the hospital to an apartment. We knew we wouldn’t be there long so We never decorated it. We moved into our house just over a year ago. Her room is painted Mint, but There’s no decorations in there. We’re planning on moving next spring again anyway… To our permanent home. Then I’ll decorate her room!!

For my third child I had the baby room all pick out and completed before he was born — for our first two children we didn’t find out whether they were a boy or girl until they were born but for our third we wanted to find out. Therefore, we didn’t have to do a neutral baby room but something instead that was gender specific.

I had my nursery all set up before my first son (22 years ago) all set up – Disney themed – about 2 months before he was born, we had just moved and had to redo the entire apartment, so it was really not to hard. There was NOTHING in there.
I love the brown and pink damask diaper bag but was saddened it was out of stock!
with my first child I knew I was going to do a Peter rabbit theme before I was even pregnant. I kept my eye open for possible nursery items before i was even trying to actually get pregnant but never bought anything. Once I was pregnant there were several things I just had to purchase right away that I had been eyeing for so long

We did have our daughter’s nursery picked out pretty soon after we found out we were expecting a girl, but I didn’t set anything up until after she was born (well, none of the linens, anyway) because I wasn’t sure if the radiologist knew what she was talking about and was worried we’d have to return everything. My daughter was a big surprise. We were 20 and finishing up college, so no nursery ideas then. My son had no theme except color. I wanted lots of bright bold colors so I did a huge painting for him and his walls are green and the ceiling is the night sky with glow in the dark messages on it.
