This next review is for one of the neatest accessories I have come across for women. It serves 2 purposes, one for fashion and the other for function. The PurseHook is one of those inventions that makes you say “why didn’t I think of that?” We have all been in public with our purse and when we sit down, we have no place to put our purse other than on our lap (and end up looking really paranoid), or putting them on the dirty floor. I don’t know about all of you, but the bottom of my purse has looked worse than a mud puddle. Now with the PurseHook my purse, diaper bag, and anything else that I am carrying can stay off the floor, remain clean, and I look pretty hip too.
For review I received the FUMI PurseHook in the Charming style (all sliver). FUMI stands for Fashionable, Unique, Multi-purpose, Innovation. What is really posh about this purse hook is that it hooks around the outside of my handbag and I can also wear it as a bracelet! It looks just like any stylish bracelet, and no one would ever be the wiser that my bracelet has a second function. The FUMI has a spring release which makes it able to fit on any one’s arm. When I go to a restaurant, I can just take my bracelet off, and put the rubber end on a table, and hang my purse off the other end. It’s so funny to see people’s reactions when I do this. They are all surprised, and think it is just the most amazing thing! All their purses are on the floor, while mine is hanging suspended in midair. I can keep an eye on my purse at all times, and can easily take things out of it while it hangs on the FUMI.
The FUMI can hold up to 25 pounds. I’m not 100% sure how much my diaper bag weighs, but WOW it’s enough to make your back hurt while carrying it around. The FUMI was able to keep it off the floor with no problem at all. There is one thing that I have to mention, and it is that the FUMI can work on almost every table in public, however it does not work on all tables. If the table has a siding, the lower part of the FUMI will not be able to hang below the table because it will hit the siding. This is such a difficult thing to explain with words. If the table is simply one flat surface with nothing underneath, the hook will work.
The FUMI also has a tiny hole in the side so you can add a little charm to it, just to add a little bit more bling! The FUMI is also environmentally friendly – the rubber is made from recycled materials! Who would have ever thought?

What item can you think of that has dual function? Well lets see thre are not that many that come to mind. I guess my babies feeding table…it is a babee tenda and it is a feeding table, and switches to a table with toddler chairs. It also has two sided top (white board and chalk board).

something that has a dual function…..in our house the boys use hockey tape for the sport, but we also used it for a while to tape my babies diaper shut so he couldn’t open it while “napping”

A scarf has multiple functions. You can wear it around your neck, or your shoulders or your hips. You can wear it as a belt, or to wrap a gift or your deck of Tarot cards. You can use it as adornment through the handles of a pocketbook. You can wear it as a head wrap. And if you really want to be creative and the scarf is long, you can even use it as a tablecloth.

My newspaper has more than 2 purposes – after reading the news, I use it for packing (especially glassware), colored cartoon pages to wrap kid’s gifts, clean my windows with it for streak free shine, in a pinch as a head cover in the rain, when I can’t locate my flyswatter it can be rolled up & splat
does the trick on an annoying mosquito, use to start the woodstove or campfire, etc. I think I really get my money’s worth out of a newspaper.

These are the coolest things EVER! I’ve seen a bunch of women with similar things at restaurants. But the whole bracelet/hook thing is something I haven’t seen and think is just ingenious!
I totally need one. I’m always reaching into my bag to hand the baby something to keep him busy. And he gets bored in a minute or two, so I’m constantly in my bag. I can’t keep it on the floor. And I’ve got two other large kids, so I can’t keep it on an extra chair. My purse becomes the biggest pain while out.
The last time we were at the doctor, I WEIGHED MY IT. I bought a diaper bag that functions as a purse so I wouldn’t have to carry around two bags. But it’s so heavy. It feels heavier than my 22-pound 9-month old. So I weighed it. 17.5 pounds. Put another couple water bottles in there, and I might surpass the weight limit.
I totally need one.
I’m not big on gold, but all the other ones are stylish. I like Enchant (1) or Charming (2) or Confident (3).
I’m still trying to think of something which has a dual purpose. I’m really surprised nothing comes to mind, because I consider myself a very resourceful and ‘thrifty’ mama. I’ll get back to you on that one.

My favorite is item #FMC-01G, the FUMI PurseHook – Radiant. I am terrible about leaving my purse places, so usually hook my purse on my knee while I am eating, which looks really dumb. A purse hook is a smart and stylish idea. If I hang my purse on a purse hook right where I would be getting up to leave, I will bump into my purse when I get up and hopefully not forget it.

You asked What item can you think of that has dual function? I have a full length mirror in our bedroom and the mirror is free standing on a cherry wood stand. If you pull open the frame of the mirror it opens up into a full length jewelry box. My Mother gave it to me and she ordered it from QVC. It is really cool!

Sounds silly but my colanders serve a dual function in that I use them to rinse/strain fruits, veggies and spaghetti. And when I’m not using it for that I use it to hold my son’s favorite apples so they have plenty of air.
