Teach My Toddler – Teach My Toddler Kit- CLOSED

by Mommy on July 5, 2009

teachmytoddler

Children are like sponges, they learn so quickly, and as parents we want them to learn all the important things – and perhaps brag a bit when our kids learn things like colours and numbers at a very young age.  There are so many different teaching tools out there it’s hard to know what will work and at what age to start.  First, I can say it’s never too early to start teaching your child letters, numbers, shapes and colours.  However with all these items made by different companies you may end up with a red circle in one book and and red square in another, I’m sure for a toddler this could be a tad bit confusing when first starting to learn shapes and colours.

teachmytoddler3Christy Cook is the founder behind the Teach My Toddler kit.  This little briefcase, has all the items you will need to teach your little one colours, numbers, letters and shapes.  The Teach My Toddler kit is divided up into all 4 sections and each section is consistent with board books, foam puzzles, flash cards, and a teaching chart.  I received the Teach My Toddler kit for review and am extremely impressed at how organized and straight forward each section is.  The consistency is not only between each section, but within each section as well.  For example in the alphabet section, “G” is for giraffe in the board book, the teaching chart, and the flash cards.  This consistency will help keep kids focus and creates  repetition which helps in learning.

teachmytoddler2

The Teach My Toddler kit also comes along with a book for parents which helps them learn the most effective ways to teach their children.  I would have never known the correct way to try to teach DD, but after reading the instructions on how to use Teach My Toddler it makes so much sense.  I have started on DD with the flash cards and the board books as she is too young to use the puzzle boards.  She can pay attention for a few minutes.  I also let her play with the cards and say whatever is on the card as she picks them up.  She’s only 10 months right now, but like I said, it is never too early to start.

teachmytoddler1

The Teach My Toddler kit is pretty light, and it’s great to have everything all in one spot ready to go.  So whether you are heading to grandmas house for a day trip, or just want to pull out the kit at home, everything you need is in one convenient package.  This makes the Teach My Toddler accessible and easy which is what you need if you are going to spend the time to teach your child.

Your toddler can master the alphabet, numbers, shapes and coloursin just 20 minutes a day

Colleen July 5, 2009 at 8:51 pm

I love that this program is a consistency based system. Sometimes as parents we are so excited about our children learning new concepts, that we throw many ideas at them at once.
With that, I’d like to brag that today our 19 month old took it upon himself to count to six. Six is his new and exciting “3″!! How adorable his excitement about counting is!

I learned many wonderful things about this product – this really says it all
“The experts say this is the most rapid stage of development in human life. It is when children learn to perceive three-dimensional space, to think in terms of the past, present and future, to comprehend concepts of language and numbers, and, of course, to walk on two feet. The most up-to-date research confirms what many of us already suspected, that the more we encourage children to learn when they’re young, the better they’ll be at learning later on.

Teach My™ Toddler was founded in 2007 by Christy Cook, a ‘mompreneur’ with a bachelor‘s degree in history, a master‘s degree in public relations and 10 years experience in the corporate world. Christy scoured educational supply stores to find products to educate

her 18-month old toddler, Finn. Aiming to stimulate and give Finn the best start, Christy put together the Teach My™ system. As a result of this special system, Finn was able to read and comprehend before the age of 3.

My niece is a single mom and she is working to pay for daycare mostly. You really can’t find a daycare that is going to teach your toddler unless you are willing to pay a lot of money.
She has a 3 year old and this is the time in this childs life when her mind is a sponge, Teach my Toddler is thing that my niece needs to work with her daughter. Thank You
