I love being a Mom, yes at times it is very hard, but it is also very rewarding. I look forward to DD growing up and teaching her things along the way – that is everything except potty training. This is one thing I am really not looking forward to. I just see and hear some terrible stories from parents that are trying to teach their kids to use the potty and pee and poop just ends up everywhere in the house – or the kid refuses to poop at all, and will hold it in for days. Jill Leech, a mom of 3 from Temecula, California, saw a need to help children during their potty training days, and so created the potty training program called Potty Tots.
Potty Tots is a full kit with all the necessities you will need to encourage your child to go potty.
The Kit includes:
Kit includes:
• A story/guide book
• Animated DVD -featuring three original Potty Tots songs and 2 bonus music videos
• One 11″X17″ Illustrated potty chart
(easily wipes clean with damp cloth)
• One 11″X17″ “Toilet Bowl” progress/reward game with clings
(easily wipes clean with damp cloth)
There is both a boy and girl kit, each have a different story of a younger sibling that is learning to use the potty. Potty Tots kit teaches children the 6 stages to potty training and has a chart to help guide the children along. This is also great for parents. Because I would just think the steps to training a child to go potty is simply, tell me when you have to pee and I will take you to the bathroom. Giving your children steps can help them remember all the important things, like washing their hands when they are done.
The Potty Tots also comes with some potty training songs. I always used to say if they had cool songs for school subjects, children would be able to memorize all their school work really easily. I don’t know why, but people seem to remember things better when it’s sung rather than just repeated over and over. With a little song, children can sing (and memorize) to help them through their potty training.
There is also a little progress chart to help children go to the bathroom as well. It’s a neat football type of chart (complete with stickers) that encourages your child to go to the potty. We all like instant gratification, and with stickers and their own little progress chart, this is a great way to get the kids to actually do something while on the potty.
The Potty Tots motto is “I can do it, all by myself!” This gives children the self esteem and encouragement to be able to go potty alone, with help from the Potty Tots book, songs, 6 step program and progress chart, learning potty will be fun and rewarding for your child and for you too.
Potty Tots is the winner of Start-Up Nation’s Honorable Mention Award for the Most Innovative Product of the Year!

Your child may be showing signs of readiness for potty training when:
they show curiosity about the bathroom or want to see what you are doing in the bathroom.

Potty Tots website states in FAQ that only after the ages of 18 months to 24 months do children begin to have the cognitive, emotional and physiological developmental skills to begin potty training. And it is important to remember that a child may reach one or more of these developmental stages at different times, and therefore, may not be ready for potty training. I think my Sophie is close to be ready, just by her actions. Cant wait for that day LOL

My daughter was potty trained before 18 months .It has been harder with my son. This is great with the potty charts
I learned that children really aren’t ready for potty training until at least 24 months, when cognitive skills sufficiently develop.
