Kokopax started in 2007 by Sarah Spoor a mom of 4 children.  She enjoyed wearing her children (I can imagine with 4 kids it must have been nice to have at least 1 less child to worry about while wearing them), and thought that it would be nice to have some nice fashionable fabrics for baby-wearers.  Sarah and her husband then embarked on a journey that would be Kokopax. Kokopax not only makes carries, but also makes accessories such as diaper bags and hats all in the same stylish, modern fabrics.

kokopax1Kokopax sent me a large tote for review.  I actually gave this to my mom to test out.  She does a lot of traveling back and forth to work and my house, so I thought she would do a better job at testing out the Kokopax tote than I would.  My mom used the Kokopax tote as an overnight bag.  I am so fortunate to have my mom spend a lot of time here to help with the baby, but it means that she has to bring a lot of things back and forth from her house to mine.  My mom really loves the Kokopax bag, as it holds all her overnight items all in one place  (before, she had to bring 2 bags).

kokopax2The main section of the Kokopax tote is very large, and it also has 4 extra pockets.  On one side there is a full pocket with a zipper and on the other side there is 3 pockets which can be used for bottles cell phones or a wallet.  There is also a mini matching tote inside which can be used as a little makeup bag.  The Kokopax bag is made with a very thick canvas so it can hold a lot of heavy items without fear of it breaking and the large handle rings also gives the tote a sense of strength as well.  There is no  zipper across the top of the Kokopax tote, so you can jam pack it as full as you want.  My mother thought that she would mind there not being a zipper, but she said there was no problem at all and she liked being able to fill up the tote right to the brim.  Whether using the  tote as a diaper bag, and overnight bag, a school bag or whatever you would need a tote for, you will be very pleased with the generous size of the tote and how sturdy and thick it is.

My parents come over the most. As for overnight guests, it’s usually a pretty special occasion (ie., a good friend is coming over at Christmas from Singapore). We live in my hometown so many friends and family stay with my parents or their families when they come to visit.

We have regular visitors to our home, but rarely overnight guests. When my parents come into town or my husband’s parents come into town, they stay with us, which is usually 3-4 times a year each. Usually for the holidays and birthdays. We live out on a lake so people are constantly stopping by. Lots of traffic in and out of the house, but they all go home at the end of the night, thank god!

I’ve been looking for a new carrier now that baby is getting too big for the Baby Bjorn (and I think she’d rather be on my back than riding up front). Their carrier looks like a great daily backpack carrier…I love the brown garden pattern!

I love the kokopax classic carrier. I have a very active 17 months little boy named Duncan. He is the love and joy of my life. Taking him out shopping can be quite the adventure as he does not love to be in a shopping cart. The kokpax carrier would make it so much more fun for him!

We have my best friend visit and stay with us quite often. We would have more guests if we didn’t have just one bedroom and bathroom. Before the baby came though, we just piled people in. Sometimes it’s a good excuse not to have my hubby’s family stay with us though. :)

As for houseguests, if you include houseflys , maybe. And the pets i have. I dont get much in the way of overnight houseguests. My parents actually stay at a motel as we have 4 kids and they like quiet sleep lol .
