Bug & Pickle – What an interesting name for a company that makes creams and other essential body products for moms and babies.  It turns out that Bug & Pickle are two sisters from Vancouver, BC, who’s nicknames were (and still are) Bug and Pickle.  The two sisters have come together to share some great practical products with real natural ingredients.

bugpickle2Bug & Pickle sent me a bottle of baby lotion for review.  The lotion makes my hands and DD’s body so nice and soft after use.  Whether after a tub bath, or just during the day when it seems that DD’s getting a little dry, this cream really moisturizes her body very well.  The Bug & Pickle cream is made with oils from lavender, chamomile, and orange.  I find of the three oils, the lotion smells most like lavender.  This makes the cream perfect for after the tub because the soothing smell of lavender is suppose help with sleep time.  The smell is not over powering, it is just a very light smell.  I frequently find sense too over powering, but this is so soft it does not bother me at all.  The cream is not too oily, and it keeps my skin moisturized and soft (yes I know it is suppose to be a baby lotion, but it has easily become my favourite cream).  Bug & Pickle has the perfect combination of scents and moisturizer.  The Bug & Pickle baby lotion contains aloe vera, shea butter and vitamin E, it is made with  96% all natural products, is not tested on animals.

bugpickleBug & Pickle also sent me some baby butter to review.  The baby butter is great got extra sensitive or extra dry skin.  Thankfully, DD’s skin is no longer extra dry, when she was first born her skin was like scales.  However, my legs are like an alligator (my husband and I have joked about my alligator skin legs for over 10 years).  The Bug & Pickle baby butter is so nice and oily that it really makes a big difference in my legs.  It keeps them moisturized nearly all day – which is surprising.  I have tried many different creams and butters (however never anything from a specialty store, always something from a big box store), and I can see how much better the quality of this body butter is compared to all the others I have tried.  I also used this body butter on my lips and it makes them very soft kissable. The body butter is also made with lavender, chamomile and orange.  I find that the body butter smells more like chamomile than the other ingredients.    I would suggest this for people with very dry skin as it is quite oily.  The Bug & Pickle body butter is made  with 100% all natural ingredients including beeswax, and vegetable oil and is not tested on animals.

bugpickle4Bug & Pickle also carries all natural products for tummy troubles, teething pains, patchy scalps, and soap for babies and nipple and belly creams for mommies. The products are made from natural items like avocado, apricot, beeswax, grape-seed oil, orange extract, aloe vera and lavender, which are items that people know about and can be easily found.  Many times, companies claim to use all natural products, but the names of the products which are used are so uncommon that no one knows what they really are, this is not the case with Bug & Pickle products.

The Belly Firm cream sounds like it would benefit even 48 year old moms like myself… my belly could use a little firming assistance.
