Michelle Grenier and her mother Toni Plouffe who are from Calgary, Alberta make handmade bath items and accessories for babies and toddlers. Their online Etsy store is called Tiny Wiggles. I received the most fluffy bright blue swaddle hooded baby towel from Tiny Wiggles. The presentation of the towel was superb. It comes in a large silky/satin bag, and then is wrapped with a beautiful matching ribbon. A lot of thought went into the amazing packaging. This is how all the items at Tiny Wiggles are sent out, so they would make a beautiful gift.

There are lots of children’s clothing out there that are all cutesy with pink and blue cartoon animals – and they are nice, but clothing after clothing peice with this theme can get repetitive. This next retailer designs onesies with real wildlife on them. The drawings are all the creation of Katie Covington, and her company is called KC Fuzzy. The onesies have some beautiful art with chimps, dolphins, pandas and tigers. The onesies come in size 0 – 12 months, and are all unisex so each onesies would be suitable for a boy or a girl making it a great gift for a baby shower.

grobag

It’s hard to know how warm or cool to keep a bedroom while your child sleeps. When Genevieve first came home from the hospital, I tried to swaddle and wrap her up, and put the heat on as warm as I thought was reasonable. Some mornings she would wake up with icicle hands and feet, while others they were clammy. It was really hard to know where the temperature really was, and what was acceptable for a baby.
Thankfully, there is a gadget that could have saved me all the stress of keeping Genevieve warm or cool enough to sleep. Grobag makes a neat little egg that not only digitally displays the temperature, but also uses visual cues as well.
