Tomat Kids has some wonderful children’s clothing that are fun, funky and 100% designed by Efi Latief. Originally from Indonesia, Efi graduated from graphic design school in California. The clothing at Tomat Kids is made from 100% cotton and there is even an organic line where all the clothing is 100% certified organic cotton.
I was sent the organic birds dress for review in a size 12 months from Tomat Kids. This cute organic dress is a nice soft pink with 2 little birdies and leaves on the bottom right hand side. The dress also has two organic coconut buttons to keep the strap on, so the dress is 100% eco-friendly, I thought this was an excellent touch and shows the fine attention to detail Tomat Kids offers. The dress is still a little bit large for DD right now as she is only 10 months. I find the length is ok, but the scoop neck hangs a little bit low. I always put a onesie underneath so you can not really tell that the neck is a little too large. I just have to make sure the onesie does not have a pattern in the front or it would show. The silk screening on the dress is also amazing, the pattern has not pulled in anyway, and looks as fresh and new as the day I received it. I also did not notice any shrinking in the wash, although I believe it must have shrank at least a bit in the wash. There is also a cute little pocket on the front of the dress.
I love this cute dress from Tomat Kids, and the customer service fromTomat Kids has been fantastic. Efi is always quick to answer emails, and the package was sent out very quickly as well. Efi is determined to make sure that all the items at Tomat Kids are the best quality. At first Efi was reluctant to send me the organic bird dress because it was the last one she had in that size and it was not for sale, because there was a slight flaw in the dress above the pocket. Once I received the dress from Tomat Kids and saw the “flaw” myself I could hardly believe that this dress would be held back from sale. I have purchased items for store that had more of a flaw than this dress. There was simply a little tiny pick on the dress, not even a hole really, just a little pick. If this dress is held back from being sold, you can be guaranteed that the items that are sold by Tomat Kids are the very most top quality.
Tomat Kids has onesies, dresses and t-shirts for infants in sizes 3 months to 12 months and has shirts, jackets, tank tops, and dresses for toddlers which are mostly available in sizes 2T, 4T and xs, some items are available in a lot more sizes. My favourite item in the whole Tomat Kids line is the tree jacket. This cute little jacket has little puffed sleeves at the shoulder. Just the cutest thing I have ever seen. Tomat Kids also has a number of items on sale where you can get some original designed shirts for as little as $6! There is also free shipping on orders of 3 shirts or more.

Organic cotton is the most important to me. Other materials I’m not so stringent about, but of the thousands of cultivated crops humans grow, cotton uses 1/3 of the total amount of pesticides! Not to mention, organic cotton just feels amazing.

Organic clothing is important to me, but is normally so much more expensive than the non-organic clothes deals I find. If it was only slightly more expensive I’d pick organic every time.

I don’t really know very much about organic clothing for it to really be important to me…yet! I am curious about it and maybe as I do more research it will become more important to me!
I really like the retro look of these clothes. I think my favorite is the organic tree pattern for my little dude.
Organic clothing is great if I have the extra cash to spend on it. When my son was first born, he was only in organic clothing and blankets dude to sensitive skin. Now, he’s fine in non-organic, but I still like some of the blankets the best for him to sleep with.

Organic clothing is of limited appeal to me. So many things are now being produced with the label of organic, that I have lost some of my faith in the labels. As long as I know the fabric content and the place of manufacture, can get a pretty good idea of its background.

WE would love to wear all organic clothing, but right now it is too expensive. It is great to find it in goodwill or thrift stores. So currently, for us, it is not super important to be wearing organic clothing.

I read that perma press clothing actually uses formaldehyde in the process of making the clothing wrinkle resistant. Organic clothing doesn’t have a harmful impact on the environment.
Any steps we can take to protect the environment is important, and buying organic clothing is certainly a step in the right direction.

I think organic clothing is a good choice, but I can’t say it’s the most important thing for me. I did make sure our diapers were organic cotton when the kids were babies though.
