Vat19 – Review & Giveaway – Closed

Kids are creative – very creative.  I remember as a child, I could draw and paint and colour like there was no tomorrow.  Each creation was signed and dated, and then expected to be put up for display for everyone to admire.  My masterpieces would usually end up on the fridge.  The fridge would regularly get over loaded with my art, and each piece would be lost among the other creations that were piled on top of each other.  Vat19 has a great art cabinet to display children’s art in a very sleek and clean frame.

I’m always nervous about getting glass items in the mail, because we all know that the postal services don’t really pay attention to the fragile stickers.  There was no way the package from Vat19 was going to break.  The frame was in a box in a box in a box with popcorn and bubble warp.  This item was very well packed, and arrived in perfect condition.

vat192The Lil DaVinci Art Cabinet is a frame that comes complete with a mat and a little hinge that is easily opened and closed so your child’s art can be added into the frame and displayed properly on the wall.  The frame makes each piece of art look very professional as well, just like a masterpiece that would be created by a famous artist.  We frame items be people we don’t know, yet we just put our children’s art on the fridge with a magnet?  Sounds a little bit backwards to me.  We should be proud to display each and every thing that our child makes for us.

The Lil DaVinci Art Cabinet from Vat19, fits from 1 – 50 pages that are 8.5 x 11.  The Lil DaVinci Art Cabinet is kept on the wall with 2  nails which are about 4 inches apart.  The neat thing about The Lil DaVinci Art Cabinet can be hung length wise or vertical.   It does not matter which way your child makes their little creation, the frame is easily taken off the wall and then put back on in the other direction.  The hooks are the same length apart, so there is no need for adjusting, and it will always be level.

020The door on the the Lil DaVinci Art Cabinet, is easily opened so it is very simple to add the art into the cabinet.  You can even do it while it’s on the wall.  I usually forget which way the hook moves so I have to look at it, and then I remember which way to open it.  I’m sure as DD starts to make more and more drawings, it will become second nature.

DD is only 9 months, so she doesn’t do too much art right now, but I did get her to draw something so I could test out the The Lil DaVinci Art Cabinet.  I gave her a marker, and a 20lb piece of paper and let her do her thing.  I was so proud to see her finished product, I signed and dated it for her, and put it in the The Lil DaVinci Art Cabinet!  The mat really makes the picture look special like I went out to buy a special frame for her art.  I am very pleased and proud to show off her work, and am looking forward to adding to this.

The Lil DaVinci Art Cabinet is an excellent way to really display your child’s art properly.  As parents we are proud of what our children are capable of creating, why not show it off in a beautiful frame and make it like a piece of art that we pay way too much for?

vat19Vat19 carries curiously awesome products!  They have items for organizing, kitchens, home decor, candles, outdoor items, and quite a large selection of items under $10! One item that caught my eye that I think children would realy love (or that I would love too) is the Strawz Connectible Drinking Straws, how fun would it be to make your own little straw design and watch your drink go through.  What a fun and creative idea!

Buy it: To buy these and other great innovative products, visit Vat 19

Win it: Vat19 would like to offer a lucky My Wee View reader a Lil DaVinci Art Cabinet of their own ($28.95)

I love the Gorillapod Flexible Camera Tripod – it is so handy to have an easy tripod with you instead of a big thing that takes up a lot of space.

I really like the unusual picture storage – stand up frame that holds so many pics. I have oodles of envelopes of pics that would love a home in this where we could actually LOOK @ them! And I really have to have this DaVinci art frame for my budding artist Grandson :) I follow your blog, and subscribe….
