Child to Cherish is an online boutique specializing in gifts, and personalized items for babies and toddlers. They have a large amount of keepsake items that you can get personalized for your children or as a gift for someone else child. One thing that I noticed on their website is that they participate in Extreme Makeover Home Edition. I love this show and have been a fan of Ty Pennington since he first started on Trading Spaces on TLC.
Child to Cherish sent me a purple piggy bank for review. This purple little piggy came in a box in a box in a box so there was no way it was going to get broken in the mail. It arrived in perfect condition, and just a few short weeks after first talking to Hilary at Child to Cherish . Hilary’s customer service is superb, she was quick with emails, and very easy to do business with.
I was told before receiving my Child to Cherish piggy bank that there would be instructions on how to get it personalized. At first I was unable to find the instructions, but then I heard some paper in the piggy bank itself and sure enough, the instructions were inside the piggy bank which is a sure way to make sure no one will ever throw them out with the packaging! The personalization instructions seemed pretty straight forward, however, since I am in Canada, I think it would be quite an ordeal to have it done, therefore I opted out.
The Child to Cherish piggy bank is very cute, not too large but not too small, I received the 4 inch piggy bank they also come in 6 inches which would be larger. The piggy has white stitched trim around the ears and feet. The top hole can fit loonies, toonies, and bills (For my American readers, those are one and two dollar coins). The bottom hole has a plastic cap to keep all your money inside. The plastic cap is stuck on there pretty good, there is no way your money is going to fall out, and it will keep little fingers from dipping into the piggy bank as well. It takes a few good adult tugs to get the rubber cap off.
Overall, a very straight forward little piggy bank, but has the option of personalization, if I was in the states, I would have sent it in. However, I’m in Canada, so it will remain unpersonalized. It is still an excellent little piggy bank and is cute for either a boy or a girl, and a great way save up your extra change.
