Child To Cherish – Review & Giveaway & Discount Code – CLOSED

child-to-cherish

Child to Cherish is an online boutique specializing in gifts, and personalized items for babies and toddlers.  They have a large amount of keepsake items that you can get personalized for your children or as a gift for someone else child.  One thing that I noticed on their website is that they participate in Extreme Makeover Home Edition.  I love this show and have been a fan of Ty Pennington since he first started on Trading  Spaces on TLC.

child-to-cherish2Child to Cherish sent me a purple piggy bank for review.  This purple little piggy came in a box in a box in a box so there was no way it was going to get broken in the mail.  It arrived in perfect condition, and just a few short weeks after first talking to Hilary at Child to Cherish .  Hilary’s customer service is superb, she was quick with emails, and very easy to do business with.

I was told before receiving my Child to Cherish piggy bank that there would be instructions on how to get it personalized. At first I was unable to find the instructions, but then I heard some paper in the piggy bank itself and sure enough, the instructions were inside the piggy bank which is a sure way to make sure no one will ever throw them out with the packaging!  The personalization instructions seemed pretty straight forward, however, since I am in Canada, I think it would be quite an ordeal to have it done, therefore I opted out.

child-to-cherish1The Child to Cherish piggy bank is very cute, not too large but not too small, I received the 4 inch piggy bank they also come in 6 inches which would be larger.  The piggy has white stitched trim around the ears and feet.  The top hole can fit loonies, toonies, and bills (For my American readers, those are one and two dollar coins). The bottom hole has a plastic cap to keep all your money inside.  The plastic cap is stuck on there pretty good, there is no way your money is going to fall out, and it will keep little fingers from dipping into the piggy bank as well.  It takes a few good  adult tugs to get the rubber cap off.

child-to-cherish4Overall, a very straight forward little piggy bank, but has the option of personalization, if I was in the states, I would have sent it in.  However, I’m in Canada, so it will remain unpersonalized.  It is still an excellent little piggy bank and is cute for either a boy or a girl, and a great way save up your extra change.

Child to Cherish also hand print kits, letters to spell out a child’s name, and many many other items available on their website.  You really should check out Child to Cherish to see all the times they have for gifts or for your own children, they have a huge selection.

Traveling Toddler – Giveaway – CLOSED

traveling-toddler1

Traveling with a toddler can be very cumbersome.  Since DD has been born, we have been to Winnipeg, Ottawa, Cuba, and Windsor, all in just 9 months.  I feel like I should have 4 arms and a couple extra hands just to keep all my items in order.   Traveling Toddler has come up with an ingenious idea to help out moms and dads while traveling!

traveling-toddlerThe Traveling Toddler is a set of clips that hook onto almost any suitcase with wheels and car seat combo. This would make traveling so much easier while in the airport.  Just hook your child to your suit case and off the two of you would go.  You have to bring a car seat with you to your destination so why not use it while in transit as well?  Anything to keep the kids together, and eliminates extra items to lug around is a great idea in my view.

DD is only 9 months old and is still in her baby car seat, so I was unfortunately unable to try out the traveling toddler as we do not yet have a big girl car seat, but I’m sure this would have been a life saver on the numerous trips we have recently been on.

traveling-toddler2Here are the instructions from the Traveling Toddler website:

Simply attach the LATCH and top tether straps from the car seat to the Traveling Toddler and adjust the straps so that the car seat is held securely on the suitcase. The car seat can be detached and reattached to the suitcase in seconds, when going through security. Lift the handle of your carry-on bag and you have a fun new stroller.

The Traveling Toddler has been tested to work on the following car seats as well:

Graco, Eddie Bauer, Cosco, Evenflo, and Britax, and a variety of carry-on suitcases and has worked with every combination.

The Traveling Toddler is small and easy to pack away when not in use and has been tested to withstand 900 pounds of force.  This product is even on it’s way to getting a Paten.

Buy it: To purchase the Traveling Toddler visit their online store

Win it: Traveling Toddler would like to offer a lucky My Wee View reader a Traveling Toddler of their own.

Cruising Caddy – Review & Giveaway – CLOSED

cruising-caddy

Now that spring has arrived, our little family is out and about more often.  It always seems that I or my husband are carrying around a water bottle in our hands while out for walks or in the park.  Then there’s times that we have forgotten our water bottles or drinks on a park bench.  Now there is a new way to make sure that I will always have my water bottle on hand no matter where I am.  The Crusing Caddy is a little carrier that easily straps around your shoulders and can hold all your other important items as well.  With the Crusing Caddy your hands can be free while out for a walk, and your water bottle can stay cool.  I never want to bring a purse while out and about, so the Crusing Caddy is a great alternative.  It’s small sleek and simple.

cruising-caddy1The Crusing Caddy has a spot for everything that you will need while out for a little walk or while traveling.  There is a little cosy inside to keep your water cool, there are 2 pockets, one has a velcro closer for items you will not want to lose and the other has an elastic top to help keep items inside, but can be easily taken out – this is best for things like a cell phone.  The strap is adjustable so you can wear it long or closer to your body.  There is also a carabiner so you can clip you carry onto something like a stroller or you can clips your keys onto it.

In the Crusing Caddy  picture, I thought the material was made out of leather, but it is actually made out of a microfiber with a rubber backing.  The carrier is extremely light so it feels like you are carrying barely anything around your shoulders.  However when you have a water bottle inside of course it is a little heavy – but the caddy itself is very light.  The pockets are roomy and you can carry all your essentials, camera, cell phone, bottle, and a wallet (the folded style wallets, the ladies style long wallet is a little too long to fit) will fit into the velcro pocket.

cruisingcaddy2

The Crusing Caddy is an easy way to bring things around with you, without having to lug around a huge purse.  It also folds up very flat which makes it easy to bring on vacation.  Actually I think this would be ideal to bring on vacation because of it’s small size and ability to carry a number of items.

There are 2 other types of carriers as well, the Fitness Caddy and the golfing Caddy.  Both are meant to keep your water bottles handy and cold, and have a little places to carry other items with you and keep your hands free.

Buy it: To purchase the Crusing Caddy and the other caddies visit their online store

Win it: Crusing Caddy would like to offer a lucky My Wee View reader a Caddy of thier own

Bundles for Babes – Review & Giveaway – CLOSED

bundles-for-babes

For those of you with small babies, I’m sure you all know that it has been suggested by professionals to no longer put any blankets in children’s beds as they can get tangled in them, and because small babies are unable to move things away from their faces.  I live in Nova Scotia, Canada, and it can get chilly here in the winter time, and there are even some cooler evenings in the summer time.  It’s very hard to know what temperature to put the bedroom at and what type of sleeper is good for the seasons so your baby can stay warm. One really easy solution for all these variables is a night sac.

bundles-for-babes3Bundles for Babes specializes in stylish night sacs for babies and toddlers, they come in sizes newborn to 36 months.  They have both winter and summer night sacs which are perfect for each season, the winter night sacs are made with fleece and flannel and the summer ones are a light cotton. Bundles for Babes was created by friends Michelle and Tracie who are from Ontario, Canada.  Each Bundles for Babes night sac is sewed by hand by either Michelle or Tracie, isn’t it wonderful to know who is making your items for you?

I received a sleeveless summer night sac from Bundles for Babes, which means one thing,,, summer is finally on it’s way (it’s been a long winter hasn’t it?).  I received the cutest L’il Diva night sac with a cute dolly pattern on the outside and a nice brown pattern on the inside.  The night sac is double lined and is made out of cotton so it is nice and light for the up coming months.

bundles-for-babes2I put this on DD at night and during the day when she takes naps.  The best thing about the Bundles for Babes night sac is that it lets babies know when the night sac goes on, it’s time for bed. This has been a really nice things to add to our nightly routine so DD knows is time for bed.  The sizing of the night sac is right on.  DD is 27 inches and 9 months old, and the sac we received was the 6 – 12 months, she fits in it just perfect and has a bit of growing room as well.  The night sac has a very long zipper in the front so it is very easy to place her into the sac.  I have washed this night sac a number of times, and it has come out clean and looking just as nice as when I first received it.  The Bundles for Babes night sac did not shrink, and is in perfect condition.

Bundles for Babes makes cute night sacs for boys and girls, with sleeves or without and for summer and winter.  So their is plenty of options when ordering from Bundles for Babes.  The great part is, their sacs start at only $35 Canadian.  To my American readers :  Remember the dollar right now is pretty low, so for all of you this night sac would be a steal.

bundles-for-babes1

Bundles for Babes also makes sippy clips, these little bungie cords clip onto anything and you will be sure to never lose another sippy cup, bottle or toy on the floor again.  I am pretty paranoid about germs, so it’s nice to have something quick and easy to clip onto my daughter carrier, car seat, stroller, high chair or jumper that will keep her toys and drinks off the floor.  These are only $7.50 each (remember that’s Canadian)  A super great price for a product that keeps your child safe from germs.

DD, Dad and I have been very pleased with our Bundles for Babes night sac.  We know that she is warm at night, and is comfortable in her little cocoon.

Buy it: To purchase a night sac from Bundles for Babes visit them online, they are also offering a free matching sippy clip with the purchase of a night sac.

Win it: Bundles for Babes would like to offer a lucky My Wee View reader a night sac of their own
