This is the reason I write reviews! The Internet just does not capture the beauty and creativity some items have to offer.

The Artsy Pear makes unique growth charts. Sure we have all seen growth charts before. A piece of paper, that folds up like an accordion to become 6 feet tall and you tape it to your wall. I can tell you all, this is NOT what The Artsy Pear has. They have amazing growth charts that will remain treasures and keepsakes for your children forever.

Connie Fisher and Gwen Smales are the creative team behind The Artsy Pear. They are from Huntsville, Ontario, and have combined their talents in graphic and interior design to create creative and colourful art, all designed to capture the spirit of childhood forever.

I received the Princess growth Chart from The Artsy Pear. This arrived by mail just 3 days after shipping and was sent in a tube. I was wondering what type of form my growth chart would show up in as it travelled from Ontario. When I arrived home, and opened up my package, I could not believe my eyes. The growth chart unrolled like a scroll, complete with wooden bars along the top and bottom, and a purple ribbon for hanging on the wall. What I was really surprised about, was that the Growth chart is made on a thick (but very lightweight) nylon canvas type of fabric! I thought it was going to be paper. This is a real picture, printed onto a piece of nylon, and then personalized by hand painting my daughter’s name and birthday. How is that for some something extra special?

This growth chart is a true work of art, that you and your child will be pleased to display on a wall, or on a door. Many artsypear people use the inside of a door frame to make their children’s height. However, when it comes time to move, unfortunately, the door frame can not come along and those special memories are lost when the new owners prime and paint over your beloved child’s milestones. This beautiful growth chart will stay with you wherever you live and you will want to display it for all to see. It is simply the most amazing growth chart I have seen or even heard of! Artsy Pear, you have really really impressed me.

The hardest part was making sure I put the growth chart at the right height. Each foot is marked off with a little heart. ( I just make it past the 5th heart!) I hope DD will be taller than I am.

If you are looking for something that is a lot fancier and special than a piece of paper on the wall, or a door frame to keep track of your little ones, this painted growth chart will make you more than smile. You will be so happy with your choice! I really want to reinforce that this is not just a piece of paper with a drawing on it. This is on a nylon canvas, with a painting, and then personalized with your child’s name and birth date. I really feel at a loss of words to describe how absolutely amazing and talented The Artsy Pear are. This chart has super exceeded my expectations in so many ways. I have also been told by Connie and Gwen that you can make the growth charts even more personalized by changing things like hair and eye colour.

This would make an excellent gift for a new baby as this is something the whole family will cherish forever, you can also write milestones on the chart like when they started to walk and when they lost their teeth. Many people will go in on this together as a shower gift, and it is very popular for grandparents to buy for their grandchildren.

The Fairy Princess would look perfect in my daughter’s room, because it is decorated with butterflies and fairies! You see, I’m a volunteer with a non-profit environmental group that uses the Blue Heron (Delaware’s state bird) in our logo (in a similar position as is shown on your chart), so I’d love to win this to use for a fund-raising raffle to bring in money that we can then use for other local projects like the Rain Garden we installed in front of the only nursing home in our town (the only one in a 3-town area) so that the seniors can look at something beautiful every day instead of a yucky, swampy mud hole.
