See Kai Run – Review & Giveaway – CLOSED

See Kai Run has really impressed me with their generosity in helping children and the underprivileged around the world.  See Kai Run has a promotion that goes on a few times a year where every pair of shoes that is purchased, another pair is donated to Soles4soles.  This is an organization that delivers shoes to children, and adults who are in need.   In June 2008, “Share a Pair” donation matching event took place and See Kai Run donated over 8000 pairs of shoes to Soles4Souls and the World Association for Children and Parents. In November/December 2008 during another “Share a Pair” matching event, See Kai Run donated over 9700 pairs toSoles4Souls.  Doesn’t that just make you feel great about buying shoes from See Kai Run.

See Kai Run was invented by a Mom (yea Mom’s) who wanted to good outside shoe for her son Kai.  The shoes have a flexible sole and are fun, bold, and hip, just like Kai himself.  See Kai Run makes fashionable shoes for babies right up until  size 9.  There are two collections to See Kai Run, the Smaller line (baby booties with soft suede soles with non-slip rubber pads and fits babies 0-18 month) and the See Kai Run line.  See Kai Run has recently also added a new line for older children called Eleven!

I dealt with Julie at See Kai Run, she had excellent customer service, and was very easy to do business with.  I received my package from See Kai Run about a week later.  That’s pretty quick considering they were coming from the States to Canada.  I sometimes get nervous about getting things from US as it can take some time in the mail, but this was lightning fast!

I was sent a pair of Melody size 3.  These cute  little girl shoes came in its own See Kai Run box.  When I opened the box, I was so pleased to see the shoes.  They were even cuter than the picture on the Internet.  The cute little pink leather bird sitting on a little suede green branch.  The shoe has also been hand stitched to the sole. How cute are these shoes?  Then I turned the shoes over.  As you guys probably know already, I really like details, and See Kai Run, has great details on the bottom of the soles. How cute will this little foot step look in the snow or rain?  It’s complete with the See Kai Run logo.  The saying on the bottom of the shoe is:

“see kai run, smile, jump, dance, dream, see kai run”

Isn’t that just beautiful?  Those are all the things you want for you child!

Not only do these shes look great, but they stay on my daughters feet.  The strap around the ankle has a velcro, that can be set really tight so the shoe does not come off.  There is also a generous amount of velcro so as her ankles get bigger, the strap can get bigger as well. My daughter uses these in her jumper, and by the end of a very successful  jumping session, her shoes are still on.  These are a size 3, I had to wait a few months before they fit her, but she is now 7 1/2 months and she still has a bit of growing room, but they stay on her busy feet. I was very surprised, but it is because of the one tab velcro system that they stay on so well.

This is the first pair of baby shoes that have a real sole to them that we have tested out. There is a bit of padding on the bottom of the soles and the sole does flex which is great for a child learning to walk. Although Geneveive is not quite walking yet, these shoes will be great for her when she is learning to walk because they are fairly light weight.  The shoe is made with leather and therefore will stretch with her chubby feet.

These cute shoes get compliments from everyone.  They are just so unique, and cute as a button.  Everyone wants to know where I got these.
