Raindrops Baby Gear is the creation of Corri Seers of Pitt Meadows, BC, Canada, about fourty-five minutes from Vancouver. She started this business after she made a stylish baby rain hat for her 8 month old son. Like most Momprenures, her items were so great, people started putting in orders, and so rather than returning to work, she decided to start up a business that sells quality, stylish beautiful rain hats.
The Hat that I received from Corri is a sleek dark brown with pink dots (our favourite colour combo)! My daughter is 7 1/2 months old and this hat fits nicely on her small head. There is a little tie around the bottom of her neck with velcro to make sure the hat stays on. The cute brim with its ruffled edges gives this hat an extra touch of little girl class, and keeps the rain out of her eyes (unlike a hood).
This hat can withstand rain, sleet, high water ans fashion. Here in Nova Scotia, spring has arrived, which means a tremendous amount of rain fall, but it can also be a tad bit cold! Raindrops Baby Gear‘s rain hats are lined with bamboo cotton. This is what makes this hat so appropriate for this time of year. Although it rains a tremendous amount, it can still sometimes hover around the freezing mark at any given time, and go from 10 degrees and raining to 0 degrees and freezing rain. Because this hat is lined, it will still keep my daughters head warm. This is very important to me. If you ask my husband, he will tell you that my daughter ALWAYS has a hat on, no matter the temperature outside. I would always rather her be too warm, and be able to take a layer off, than too cold, and not having anything to cover her up with. This hat is small enough to easily to throw in a diaper bag in case of an unexpected rainstorm. Even if there is a hint of rain in the air, I always put this hat on my daughter because we love it so much! We get a lot of great compliments with this hat.
This hat also repels the rain very well, and keeps my daughters head 100% dry from the rain! I tested this hat under the faucet for about 5 minutes to see if it would leak, and there was not a dot of dampness on the inside of the hat! The seams are very well made.
This hat is also very stylish. My daughter has to be the coolest girl on the block on a rainy day with this stunning hat on. The patterns at Raindrops Baby Gear are so modern that whatever style you choose, you know that your child will be up with the times!
